A welcomed return for an old favourite service. The young people and children made Christingles in the first half of the service whilst the adults thought a little bit more about the light that Christ has brought into the World. Then we all joined together for a final moving lighting of the candles. |

Our annual family-style Carol Service had a Narnia theme this year. Despite technical problems with our projection, the children and young people still managed to bring some colour to our Carol Service. In their pre-service workshop they made Narnia works of art. These were then shown off by them in the service. The service reminded us that Jesus was the greatest and strangest gift the World has ever received. |

Our open day consisted of 3 hours in the afternoon when the church was open to our neighbours, our old friends who have moved away, local church groups and members of the public with a special interest in St Margarets - including our builders and our architect. The church was busy all afternoon. Check out the photos to see if you recognise our visitors plus our hosts. In the evening the Bishop of Bradford, David James, came to speak at our opening worship which took the theme of 'The Past, The Present & The Future'. We had representatives from all our church groups taking part to show the range of our activities and the range of ages. We also took the opportunity of having a brief time of Remembrance at the start of our service. Around 100 people attended and stayed on for a typical St Margaret's food fest |

Our annual fun and games to celebrate the eve of All Saints Day was packed as usual. Packed with children and activities. Check out the pictures to see what we got up to. As usual amidst the festivities, there was an opportunity to think about the light of Christ. This year our Youth Band led the worship. |

On World Cup Final Day, we had our very own World Cup Final football match in Manningham Park. Before the top sporting event, we had a picnic together and said hello again to the Lawsons and goodbye to the Cullingworths. Despite rain, a sloping pitch, one ball lost in the lake and a ref who didn't have a whistle and used a branch as a red card, Italy won - a result copied in Germany later in the day. |

Our Youth Group arranged a special evening of home grown talent in aid of charity as our New Year Party. Different members of St Margaret's displayed varying degrees of gifting whilst the young people waited on the audience. The talents mainly were musical (ish!) but also included poetry reading, drama and joke telling. |
