Our Carol Service was for all ages and was a mixture of the traditional and the new, the young and the old. But whatever your age, the old message was still fresh and new: Jesus is Good News! |

Our annual party for young people lived up to the normal expectations. A mixture of youngsters enjoyed fun that didn't depend on scaring each other witless! Also it meant they were safe from being tempted to trick or treat. Check out the photos for what they did get up to. |

In keeping with Nan who doesn't like a fuss, we had a quiet birthday celebration after our morning service. But we couldn't let such a momentous occasion pass without a bit of a 'do'. Paul Booth and David Creaser (the previous two Vicars) came to celebrate. Also we had a special cake and drink as well as a unique card made by the Sunday School and signed by members of St Margaret's. Young and old came together to wish Nan a very happy 90th birthday! Check out some of the pictures here. |

This event, which this year was planned and put on by the Frizinghall Partnership (of which St Margaret's is a partner) had great weather! This was a first for our Fun Days! It made for a great day out for all members of our community. Around 700 people enjoyed the event which was based on Shipley Fields (immediately outside the church building) and inside the church. It also involved Frizinghall Community Centre. The march from near the Mosque to St Margaret's involved young people from Frizinghall Primary School as well as the Church. Look at the pictures and see what we got up to! |

This event was based at St Margaret's but included young people from other churches as well. It started with a gig by a Christian band and a lively inspirational talk. The young people were told to remember they had 'Jesus on board' and to live life in a way which showed this. After food (including a chocolate fountain) 'Night in a Museum' was shown on the big screen in a darkened church. Then the youngsters went to sleep (supposedly). By 4am most had...but some still were running around.... Next day after cooked breakfast and after being prayed for by the Bishop in the Diocesan Day event at the Grammar School, the young people put their Christian faith into action in the community. They gardened; they picked up litter; they cleaned chairs in the community centre and even helped the Police deliver safety leaflets. The day finished with a final trip to the Diocesan Day where a dvd of their exploits was shown to great applause. Why not see how they got on - check out the photos. |

This service used Circus style skills to tell the Easter Easter story in an unusual way. The circus event was led by our very own Daryll Hackett and also James Dey. It reminded us of what Jesus did for us on the cross and also showed us that this message can be communicated in many different and creative ways. |
