Warm Welcome

We as a church are passionate to do as much as we can to meet the needs of our parish. We want to open up our building as a community resource that offers hope, practical support, somewhere warm, meets the needs of all ages and ethnicities and works with multiple partners to help our community thrive and flourish.

Current examples of how this works in practice include:

  • the community action group (a partnership of St Margaret's people and others from across Frizinghall. meeting regularly to collaborate in meeting the needs and aspirations of people in Frizinghall).
  • PATCH - our regular work with young children and carers
  • Homework Club - for primary school age children and their carers
  • Wednesday Cafe - open community cafe for Frizinghall

The church is clear that in order to enable these priorities to be taken forward, and for this work to grow in its impact, addressing the warmth of the building is an important priority. This is being addressed in the proposals for upgrading the heating system to enable the building to provide a warm welcome.

We are very grateful to the following organisations who have already committed to supporting us with our Warm Welcome Project.
